The RedTails hit the ground running as they controlled the net and the back row throughout. Hawkeye racked up 37 kills, compared to the Lakers' 18, while Megan Hudson led the RedTails with 13. Brooke Dreesman collected eight and teammate Paige Eiffler contributed seven.

On the defensive side, the RedTails were led by libero Haylee Keune, who collected 16 digs. Maggie Driscoll and Hudson had with nine digs each. Dreesman and Hudson also recorded two blocks apiece.

"After losing two tough conference games, we wanted to bring out our frustration and leave it all out on the floor," said Driscoll. "Our communication between hitters and setters was the difference-maker throughout the game along with covering blocks."

The RedTails improved to 12-3 overall and 3-1 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.

Up Next: The RedTails travel to Cedar Rapids to take on conference opponent Kirkwood Community College on Wednesday, September 26. Kirkwood, at No. 10, is the highest-ranked ICCAC team in this week's Division II poll.
