RedTail Volleyball Falls to Indian Hills 3-0 in Home Opener

RedTail Volleyball hosted Indian Hills for their home opener on August 23. Although the games were tough, the RedTails put their all into each set.

 

The RedTails and Warriors closely battled in the first set and kept the score very close and the fans on the edge of their seats. The RedTails fought hard, but the Warriors ended up winning by 4 points (25-21). In the second set, all the players on both teams continued to put in their full efforts for another intense game. The Warriors also took the win for the second set with a score of 25-18. The third set started off very close like the others, but the RedTails fell behind about halfway through the game. The Warriors won the third set (25-17), to take the 3-0 victory. The Warriors are ranked number four in the NJCAA division one. Our RedTails are ranked 16th in the NJCAA division two.

 

Head coach Tyann Wolfensperger had some positive comments after the home opener.

 

"Tonight was a tough match against a really great team, the girls did really well in serve receive," she said. "I look forward to the next time we play them this season."

 

The RedTails next matchup will be in Champaign, Ill., on Saturday, August 26, for the Parkland Tournament. There are two games, the first is against Parkland College at 10:00am and the second game is against Rock Valley College at 2:00pm.
