The RedTails traveled to Illinois Central College on Saturday, September 16, and left with the win (3-2). 

This match consisted of a lot of back-and-forth wins. The first set was a close one, but the Cougars won (25-21). The RedTails came back in full force for the second set, taking the win (25-21). The third set was back to the Cougars, winning (25-18), but the RedTails came back for their second win in the fourth set (25-15). The last set determined who was taking the overall match win and ended in another close RedTail win (15-13). 

Head coach Tyann Wolfensperger had some positive words to say after Saturday's match.

"It was a great match, Illinois Central is a tough opponent and they definitely had an offensive mindset and it was a great battle," she said. "I'm glad we could come out on top and we had some players make some big plays in the 5th set."

The RedTails next match up will be Tuesday, September 19, at Southwestern CC starting at 7:00pm.
