RedTail Volleyball Take One Win and One Loss Over The Weekend

The RedTails traveled to Mason City on Saturday, October 9, to compete against North Dakota State College and Ellsworth Community College. 

The RedTails started the day by going up against the Wildcats, losing 3-2. In the first set both teams put up a good fight, making it a close score with the Wildcats taking the win (25-21). The second set was also another close set but with the RedTails taking the win (25-22). The RedTails continued with that momentum in the third set, taking the win (25-19). The Wildcats came back with great offense, taking both the fourth (25-21) and fifth set (15-8) wins.

The RedTails continued the day and came back against the Ellsworth Panthers, taking the overall win 3-2. The RedTails blew away the Panthers in the first set, winning (25-15). The Panthers took the second set win (25-17), but the RedTails came back in the third set, winning 25-22. The Panthers had great offense in the fourth set and took the win (25-16). The fifth and final set was a close one, ending in another RedTail win (15-12). 

Head coach Tyann Wolfensperger had some positive words after the volleyball-filled Saturday.

"There were a couple of long and hard battles," she said. "The girls had great energy and it was a lot of fun!"

The RedTails next match will be Tuesday, October 10, against Western Tech Community College, starting at 6:00pm.
