Women’s Cross Country Wins Trent Smith Invitation

The Hawkeye Community College women's cross country team enjoyed a strong performance, placing five runners in the top 20 at the Trent Smith Invitation in Mason City on Friday, October 12.

Joanna Topham continued to flourish as she set a personal record in the 5k with a time 18:51 while placing second. Madison Larsen had a strong performance placing fifth with a time of 19:34. Carly Hasken placed 12th in 20:48.

The RedTails' pack was rounded out by Shea Dahlstorm, who was 15th with a time of 21:06, and Rebecca McDermott, who was 17th in 21:26.

Up Next: The RedTails travel to Davenport to compete in the District XI Championships on Friday, October 26.
