OTTUMWA–The RedTail Women's Cross Country team finished fourth at the Region XI Time Trials at Indian Hills.

The RedTails were led by freshman runner Lacey Jackson, who got out quick and held on for a top 10 (ninth, 21:58.5).

"She got out strong, and it was nice to see the competitive side of her," said head coach Tyler Mulder. Jackson was followed by fellow first-year runner Kaylee Hosch, who took home the 15th spot with a time of 22:31.2.

"Kaylee Hosch also ran a strong race," Mulder said. "As more of an 800M runner, I was proud of how tough she ran."

The next RedTail to cross the finish line was Miranda Oldenburger in the 23rd spot (24:56.1). Maddie Erhardt (27:03.5) and Addie McDermott (27:27.1) rounded out the RedTail top five, finishing one after another in 32nd and 33rd places respectively.

"As the season progresses, I'm excited to see them all gain confidence in their fitness," Mulder said.
