Short-Handed RedTails Run Hard at the Luther All-American Invitational

DECORAH-Numbers are short for the Women's Cross Country team, as the injury bug allowed only five members of the RedTail team to participate in the Luther All-American Invitational on Saturday, September 14. They didn't let this deter them from running hard and getting better at the event.

Miranda Oldenburger was the first of five runners to cross the line for the RedTails. She finished with a time of 24:12.7 and was followed closely by Rachel Wardell who crossed the line with a time of 24:17.2. Maddie Erhardt (25:07.1) and Adeline McDermott (25:31.2) were the next two across the finish line for the RedTails. Marathon runner Onyotse Agbese rounded out the RedTail top five in her first-ever collegiate competition.

"Overall the women's team competed well for missing some key runners," states head coach Tyler Mulder. "We look to take advantage of the two weeks away from racing to focus on training and getting the whole crew back to health for Wartburg."
