Women’s Cross Country Team Shines at Regionals

OTTUMWA–The Women's Cross Country team looked strong last Friday at Indian Hills, as the team posted their best season times across the board during the Region XI Championship.

Freshman Lacey Jackson ran very strong at the event, recording a time of 21:48 and helping the team set the pace. Rachel Wardell helped the team get into the third scoring position, posting a time of 22:29, followed by Kaylee Hosch and Miranda Oldenburger (23:08, 23:09).

Coach Tyler Mulder gave praise to his team after the event, stating: "I think this was the best I've seen the girls look all year as they ran hungry and everyone looked strong. Each girl really dug deep to improve their season best times."

Next up for the RedTails is the chance to compete in the NJCAA National Championship in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on November 9. Both the ladies and Coach Mulder are looking to continue impressing others, stating "As a team, we'd like to prove that we belong in the top 25 rankings!"
