South Winneshiek’s Anna Dietzenbach to Run for RedTails Women’s Cross Country

WATERLOO– The RedTail Women's Cross Country Team has signed on a new runner for the 2023 season. Anna Dietzenbach of Calmar, Iowa, has signed a letter of intent to compete as a RedTail.

Dietzenbach is greatly anticipating her arrival to Hawkeye Community College.

"When I visited Hawkeye's campus this fall it felt like home. Everyone was so nice and welcoming." Dietzenbach commented.

She is also greatly anticipating the excellent RedTail coaching staff.

"I am excited to work with Coach Roberts and Gadient." she said, in reference to new head coach Scott Roberts and assistant coach Corinne Gadient.

Cross country isn't a new endeavor for Dietzenbach.

"I have been running cross country for the past six years [and] watched my brother compete for five years before that so cross country and track has always been something close to my heart." she explained.

The sport is not only something she holds on an emotional level, she's also been extremely successful in her time competing.

"Throughout my four years of competing I stood on the podium three years surrounded by some of the best teammates anybody could have," Dietzenbach commented.

Welcome to the RedTail Cross Country team, Anna! We look forward to having you!
