Cheyanne Bruns Signs to RedTail Cross Country

WATERLOO–Cheyanne Bruns has signed her letter of intent to run for the RedTail Women's Cross Country team. Bruns is one of the top runners on her high school team with a 5000-meter PR of 21:18.17. 

Bruns hails from Twin Cedars High School in Bussey, Iowa. She plans on studying nursing during her time at Hawkeye. 

Bruns explained her decision to run at Hawkeye saying, "I visited this campus a few weeks back and I loved how calm and relaxed it felt and being able to go to a quiet college and run in a sport you have been involved in for years." She also left some words of encouragement saying, "When your legs get tired run with your heart."
