Male Athlete of the Week-Ryder Fleming

RedTail Bowling student-athlete Ryder Fleming has been named Scheels Male Athlete of the Week for his overall performance at the Team Match Games Tier 1 Tournament in Fairview Heights, IL on November 18th and 19th.

Ryder finished 54th out of 223 competitors, averaging 190 for five games during the Team Match Games. This is a big Tier 1 Tournament hosted by McKendree University and has a lot of tough teams at this tournament and a 190 average is a respectable score for a tournament such as this. Ryder had games of 224, 140, 202, 172, and 214 to contribute to his 190 average for the day, which is over his 174.94 national average and his 171.5 practice average.

"Ryder puts in a lot of games and time into his bowling and averaging 190 at a tournament, let alone a Tier 1 with some tough teams, was something he wanted to get to this season," said head coach Roger Taylor. "Now he's hungry for more."

Fleming is originally from Cedar Rapids.
