Male Athlete of the Week-Jacob Mattison

RedTail Bowling student-athlete Jacob Mattison has been named Scheels Male Athlete of the Week for his overall performance at the Morningside Mustang Invite in Sioux City, Iowa on December 2nd and 3rd.

Jacob led the way for the RedTail men and finished in 4th place out of 103 players at the Morningside Mustang Invite, making his first All-Tournament Team appearance. Jacob had scores of 185, 171, 187, 178, and 258 for a 979 five-game series, averaging 196.

"Jacob has been knocking on the door our last few outings and this weekend he was able to pull through for his first All-Tournament team showing," said assistant coach Joe Squires. "Despite the tough conditions and low scoring pace challenging the field, Jacob was able to be patient and grind it out to finish the day on a high note with a big 258 game to catapult himself into the 4th place position for his ATT showing."

Mattison is originally from Onalaska, WI.
