RedTail Men’s and Women’s Bowling Compete in Kegel Midwest Collegiate Classic

The RedTails traveled to Addison, Illinois, January 18-19 for the Kegel Midwest Collegiate Classic, which is a Tier 1 event and attracts a lot of the top teams from across the country. Overall, both teams seemed to find themselves scoring over their averages and having better team performances, but the scoring pace of the field just outlasted us on a different level. The men found themselves in 53rd out of a strong field of 56. It's not the placement we want, but it leaves them hungry to fight harder next time when we head to Cedar Rapids for the Mohawk. Ryder Fleming continues to take charge and be our top performer with a 204 average for his five games, which put him at 82nd place out of 375 scored players.
The RedTail women maintained their high spirits throughout the weekend, with each bowler surpassing her personal averages in all five games. Callie Smedley emerged as our top bowler, finishing 105th among 310 eligible players and achieving an average score of 171.
Our next tournament will be in Cedar Rapids for the Kohawk, followed by two tournaments at home.
