RedTails Finish 5th in Spring Season Opener at Ron Streck Invite

The RedTails men's golf team came home 5th from the Ron Streck Invite to open up the Spring season on March 14-15 scoring 328 on Monday and 302 on Tuesday with a total team score of 630.

Tom Bell was the highest finishing RedTail scoring a total of 152 (79-73) placing him tied for 6th overall. Luke Galeazzi followed for the RedTails tying for 15th overall with a score of 158 (84-74). Melker Andersson (76-83) and Grant Dekruyf (83-76) both scored 159, tying for 20th overall. Austin Reynolds wasn't too far behind with a score of 161 (82-79) which placed him tied for 24th overall and Sacha Brown came in tied for 43rd with a total score of 169 (86-83).

"It was fun kicking off the spring season and getting some of the rust off," says coach Micah Destival. "Our expectations were to improve from our qualifying round to the first round and then the final round and for the most part everyone accomplished this. It isn't easy coming out of the winter and going right into a tournament and our guys adjusted well and played great."

Next up for the RedTails Golf team is the Kirkwood Invite at Hunter's Ridge GC on March 27-28.
