RedTail Men’s Golf Competes at the Clash at Cinder Ridge

The RedTail Men's Golf team traveled to Wilmington, Illinois, to take part in the Clash at Cinder Ridge tournament. Hawkeye had 10 men compete for the team. The weather was chilly, temps in the mid-40s, with a lot of wind the first day and plenty of sunshine the second. Hawkeye was led by sophomore Kaeden Anderson, who shot a two-day total of 150 (+6) as he earned runner-up honors. The RedTails as a team took second place in the event as well. Head coach Micah Destival was pleased with the team's performance.

"I thought we played a decent tournament considering the extreme cold weather and wind the first day and then the cold weather and tough hole locations for day two," says Destival. "The guys finished runner-up and Kaeden Anderson continued his good play with another runner-up finish as well. All the guys played very well for nice stretches of golf over the two days. Cinder Ridge was a fun course, and I look forward to trying to make it back there again at some point."
