RedTails Take A Loss at First Game of the Season

RedTails Take A Loss at First Game of the Season

The RedTail Men's Soccer Team took on their first game of the season in Estherville against Iowa Lakes Community College on Friday, April, 2. The RedTails unfortunately fell short and lost the game 3-0.

Coach Leo Driscoll noted difficult conditions made a tough game even more challenging. He went on to say, "We played the first half really well and were unfortunate to fall behind just before the break. In the second half we just never really got going and got beat by a very good side. It was our first game together so there were bound to be some things to fix, so we are happy that we have things to look at and work on ready for the conference."

Coach Driscoll goes on to say that the team will face challenges this season however they have players that can overcome those challenges. "It is important that we concentrate on the day by day process and not look too far ahead and miss important steps along the way. It's a very exciting time for both teams and we look forward to what is ahead."

The RedTails will be on the road on April 10 in Marshalltown against Marshalltown Community College.
