RedTails Defeat Hawks 4-0 at Home

The RedTail Men's Soccer team moved to a four-game winning streak after defeating the Northeast Community College Hawks 4-0 on Thursday, April 15.

The RedTails pushed through a windy first 45 minutes, not allowing the Hawks much offensive action. With one minute remaining in the half, Keith Gakaka put the RedTails on the board with a solo goal.

The blue and orange came out hot in the second half, adding a second goal by Alex Harris in the 56th minute. Harris found the net again, only 10 minutes later, with an assist from Nga Reh. Ade Sotoyinbo led the RedTails to their 4-0 win with another goal in the 78th minute, assisted by Jayce Berger.

"We're quite a close team off the pitch and I think we take that on the pitch," says Alex Harris. "Obviously the last three results have been really good, but we're still not really happy with the performance today, and I think that says a lot about our character. . . We always want to be better."

Next up, the RedTails travel to Bettendorf to take on Scott Community College on Monday, April 19.
