RedTail Men’s Soccer Routs Blue Knights in Shutout
WATERLOO–The RedTail Men's Soccer team put together a dominant 3-0 win when they beat Dakota County Technical College on Saturday, April 24.
The RedTails put together a quick strike with Sam White scoring off of a Jack Churchward assist. Just 11 minutes later, Keith Gakaka jumped in on the action with a score coming off of another Churchward assist. Gakaka then became the facilitator, assisting Reon Dawes who scored just under halfway through the first-half.
After Dawes' goal, both teams reared their defensive prowess, as no goals were scored for the rest of the match.
"[We] just need to raise our confidence," said Gakaka. "We don't feel like we've hit our best in any game yet, and that is a positive. We just need to continue to work on our teamwork and communication so that we can continue to improve."
The RedTails will look to continue their dominance in their rematch against Northeast in Norfolk, Nebraska, on Tuesday, April 27.
