The Hawkeye RedTail Men's Soccer Team played their final regular season game Saturday, May, 8 against Dakota County Technical College. They closed out their season in dominant fashion, beating the Blue Knights 6-0.
It was a slow first half of the game, neither the RedTails nor the Blue Knights were able to secure a goal. However with just five minutes left in the first half, Joe Baston scored a goal with an assist from Brandon Savage. Will Ansah was able to lock in another goal with an assist from Donald Holliday with just one minute remaining.
At the start of the second half, the RedTails were ready to prove their excellence obtaining four goals in the last 45 minutes of the game. The third goal of the game came from Ade Sotoyinbo with an assist from Reon Dawes. Both Baston and Ansah pulled through yet again taking the fifth and sixth goal of the game with assist from Sam White and Sotoyinbo. White closed out the game with the RedTails final goal with an assist from Baston.
The RedTails will be moving along to the semifinals on Saturday, May 15.
