WATERLOO–The RedTails are on a seven-game winning streak after their shutout victories against Scott Community College on October 13 and North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) on October 16.
The RedTails beat Scott Community College 4-0. Jaydon Joseph scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Conal Burnett. Burnett was able to score the second goal assisted by Darnell Joseph. The third goal of the game was scored by Joe Farlow, assisted by Tbo Sotoyinbo. Sotoyinbo also assisted on the fourth goal of the game, scored by Gonzalo Ramos.
The RedTails returned home to take on the NIACC Trojans, winning 8-0. Sotoyinbo scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Burnett. The second goal was scored by Alex Harris, assisted by Brandon Savage. Joseph scored the third goal assisted by Dilesh Patel. Patel also assisted on the fourth goal scored by Burnett. The fifth goal was scored by Patel, assisted by Brandon Savage. Joe Farlow scored the sixth (assisted by Renan Caruso), seventh, and eighth (assisted by Patel) goals.
"The guys had a solid week, scoring 12 goals in two games in two very different types of games," says coach Leo Driscoll. "Scott were a team that sat very defensively and we had to break them down, NIACC provided us with a more technical challenge that we overcame."
The RedTails return home to play Dakota County Technical College on October 19.
