RedTails Get First Win 7-0

WATERLOO- RedTail Men's Soccer faced off against the North Iowa Area Community College on September 20, winning with a score of 7-0.

The RedTails would get on the board first with a goal from Joe Farlow #11 with 31:06 left in the first period. Joe Farlow would add to his scoring with another goal with 16:08 left in the first period. That would give the RedTails the lead 2-0 and that lead would last the rest of the period. The beginning of the second period was slow but with less than 15 minutes to go in the game the RedTails would add two more goals by Niall Chinn and Joe Farlow getting his third goal of the game. Niall Chinn would add another goal at the five minute and a penalty kick at the four minute mark to push the RedTails lead 7-0. Joe Farlow would then add his fourth goal of the game to give the RedTails a 7-0 lead. 

Head coach Anthony Velez had some positive words after the game. 

"Going into the second game of the conference we expected a win," he said. "It's a good feeling getting our first win after having a tough string of games where in some cases it just didn't go our way. I'm really happy and proud of the buoys not only for getting the win but to come together as a group for the entirety of the game."

The RedTails next matchup will be on the road Wednesday, September 28, at 1:00pm vs Northeast Community College.
