RedTails Mens Soccer Falls to Southeastern 3-1.

WATERLOO- RedTail Men's Soccer faced off against a tough Southeastern Community College squad on October 1, falling 3-1. 

Southeastern would start the scoring early with a goal a minute and a half into the game to take a 1-0 lead early. They would add another goal with 37:52 left in the first half to extend their lead to 2-0. The RedTails battled back with a goal from Alex Cardoso #21 with 35 minutes left in the second half to cut into the lead 2-1. Southeastern would score on a penalty kick with 15 minutes left in the half to extend their lead to 3-1. That score would last till the end of the game and Southeastern would defeat the RedTails. 

Men's head coach Anthony Velez had some positive words after the RedTails latest game. 

"Southeastern was always going to be a tough game," he said. "Going into this game we decided to change a couple things and for the most part we handled it better. We were unfortunate to let in an early goal to an individual error. I think our record shows a different story…as we are playing well but just on the other end of the result at times ." 

The RedTails next matchup will be on the road Tuesday, October 4, at 1:00pm at Scott Community College.
