Men’s Track and Field Take Second Place at Jack Jennett Open

The RedTail Men's Track and Field Team took home seven top-three performances and a second place team finish at the Jack Jennett Open in Cedar Falls on Thursday, January 21.

Edgar Tapia took home a strong first place finish in the 400-meter race with a time of 52.89 seconds. Blake Osborn and Connor Belken followed their outstanding performances from last week, taking home first and second in the 200-meter dash. 

Brackemeyer added another first place for the RedTails in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:24.13. Sam Mickelson kept it going and took first in the 3000-meter run. The men ended the meet with an exciting first-place finish in the 400-meter relay of Jacob Jensen, Osborn, Brackemeyer, and Belken. 

"We had a number of all time PR's at this meet, which shows we are in a good place as the season progresses," said head coach Tyler Mulder.

Next up, the RedTails travel to Maryville, Mo., to compete in the Herschel Neil Invite on Saturday, January 30.
