RedTail Men’s Track and Field Team Competes at the Jack Jennett Invitational

The RedTail Men's Track and Field team competed at the Jack Jennett Invitational, hosted by UNI, on Friday, January 17.

Participating in the high jump was Nathan McFarland, who placed first with a jump of 1.85m.

Three RedTail men finished in the men's long jump. Aldaine Angus finished in third place with a 6.78m, Tyler Bartels in seventh place (5.60m), and Jaxon Weber rounding out the men in eighth place (5.24m).

Adam Smith represented the RedTails in the men's weighted throw and landed in fifth place with a throw of 14.05m.

Finishing in sixth and seventh place in the men's shot put were Adam Smith (14.54m) and Edde Gonzalez (9.48m), respectively.

Running in the 400m were William Bryant (53.99) and Samuel Brace (1:01.70) who finished first and second place.

Aldaine Angus qualified for the finals in the men's 60m and finished with a time of 6.91, earning him a third place finish overall.

Anthoneih Kopsa was the lone RedTail competing in the 600m, finishing in second place in a time of 1:31.88.

Four men ran in the 200m run for the RedTails including Vance Burnham (22.81) who finished in first place, Liam Carlson (23.16) who finished in second, Ryan Leonard (23.52) finishing in third place, and rounding out the field was Jaxon Weber (25.30) in fourth place.

Samuel Brace competed in the 800m run and brought home fourth place with a time of 2:30.09.

In the men's 3000m race, Brennen Sager finished third place in 10:24.84.

The RedTails had two teams entered in the 4x400m run and the team taking first place were William Bryant, Xavier Codling, Vance Burnham, and Ryan Leonard. Coming in second place were Liam Carlson, Tyler Bartels, Brennan Sager, and Anthoneih Kopsa.

The RedTail men will return to the track again on Friday, January 24, to compete at the Fighting Bee Invite, hosted by St. Ambrose University.
