Hawkeye Track & Field Compete at NJCAA Indoor Nationals

            LUBBOCK, TX - Hawkeye Track & Field participated in NJCAA Indoor Nationals on March 7th-8th hosted by the NJCAA. Results below:

 

Men's High Jump

#4 Nathan McFarland - 6' 8 ¼" – (NJCAA All-American)

Men's Long Jump

#10 Aldaine Angus – 24' 8 ¼"

#14 Xavier Codling – 23' 5 ¼"

Men's Shot Put

#17 Adam Smith – 46' 0 ½"

 

            The men recorded 5 team points and placed 23rd in the country, while the women did not factor a team score. Coach Roberts had this to say after the meet.

            "Everyone competed at Nationals very well…we had a lot of freshmen at the meet; the first time in nationals is always an intimidating experience," says Roberts. "As for Nathan… we knew if he could get through the opening heights clean that he could have a finish in the top 8. he ended up in fourth and I cannot be more proud of that young man."
