RedTails Run Their Way to 5th at Indian Hills Invite
OTTUMWA–The men's cross country team placed fifth overall running an 8k at the Indian Hills Invite on October 15.
D'Artagnon Beaver was the top finisher for the RedTails, placing 11th overall with a time of 26:48.6. Next for the RedTails was Tyler Colvin with a time of 28:45.6, placing 25th overall. Placing 26th with a time of 28:47.6 was Cooper Olsen. Harrison Vanderlinden placed 28th overall with a time of 28:57.1. Finishing 31st with a time of 29:17.3 was Stephen Thomas. Dodson Melichori finished 32nd with a time of 29:18.2.
"Nearly all the men ran season best or personal best times, they are tightening the pack and improving each 8k that they perform," says coach Tyler Mulder. "The men's team is looking strong going into our regional championship in two weeks. We've got some work to do if we want to take home the crown; ultimately that's the goal for them to win the Region XI Championship."
Next up for the RedTails Region XI Championships on October 29.
