Female Athlete of the Week - Brenna Leitner

Hawkeye RedTail Sports Shooting student-athlete Brenna Leitner has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her exceptional performance against Southeastern Community College on September 7th.
Brenna demonstrated remarkable skill and composure, achieving the highest score among all female participants with a total of 96 out of 100 targets. In a thrilling shoot-off against teammate Lydia Covert, Brenna emerged victorious by breaking 25 straight targets. Her stellar performance was pivotal in securing the team's victory over the Southeastern Blackhawks.
"Brenna Leitner had a dominating performance this past weekend in Trap-Singles; earning her 1st Place Female, in a shoot-off, where she ran a 25 Straight. We are glad Brenna made the trip from Belle Fourche, SD to be a Hawkeye RedTail; we look forward to her future performances as she continues her first year campaign," said head coach Troy Emley.
Leitner's contributions extended beyond the competition, as she also assisted in scoring and loading traps, showcasing her commitment to the team.
Leitner is originally from Bella Fourche, South Dakota.
