Female Athlete of the Week - Lydia Covert

RedTail Sports Shooting student-athlete Lydia Covert has earned the title of Scheels Female Athlete of the Week after an impressive performance at the Iowa Junior College Clay Target Championships, where she finished as the 4th best female sports shooter in the state.
Lydia demonstrated exceptional consistency across all disciplines. She broke a total of 294 targets, including a school-record 75 targets in Sporting Clays. In Trap-Singles, Lydia broke 96 out of 100 targets, including two perfect rounds of 25, advancing her into a shoot-off where she secured 5th place after an impressive 25-straight in the first round.
"Lydia's consistent performance has been outstanding this season. She's continually pushed her limits and proven to be one of the state's top junior college shooters," said head coach Troy Emley.
Lydia Covert's dedication and competitive drive have set a new benchmark for RedTail Sports Shooting this season.
