Brenna Leitner Named Female Shooter of the Year in ICCAC Sports Shooting All-Region Awards

Freshman Brenna Leitner of Hawkeye Community College has been named the ICCAC Female Shooter of the Year in recognition of her outstanding achievements across multiple shooting disciplines. Leitner earned First Team All-Region honors in High Over All, Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays, marking her as one of the top competitors in her field and a standout in her first year with the team.

Leitner's accomplishments are complemented by several other Hawkeye athletes who received notable All-Region honors. Sophomore Lydia Covert earned First Team distinctions in High Over All, Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays, underscoring her impressive consistency and skill. Additionally, freshman Abbie Hill was named to the First Team in Skeet and Sporting Clays, highlighting her strong start in collegiate sports shooting.

Hawkeye's commitment to excellence was evident in other recognitions as well. Freshmen Gabby Wright and Ella Audorff contributed to the team's success, with Wright securing a First Team spot in Trap and Audorff receiving an Honorable Mention in Trap.

These recognitions emphasize the strength and depth of Hawkeye's women's sports shooting program and its athletes' dedication to their craft. Hawkeye Community College celebrates Brenna Leitner and all its honorees for their achievements, reflecting a promising future for the program.
