Female Athlete of the Week – Mya Chamberlin

RedTail Softball's Mya Chamberlin has been named the Scheels Female Athlete of the Week after delivering a dominant performance both on the mound and at the plate in a doubleheader against Mount Mercy.

In Game 1, Mya was the winning pitcher, going 7 innings, allowing 6 runs (5 earned), 2 walks, and striking out 8 batters. She also went 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring 2 runs with a double.

In Game 2, Mya helped fuel a comeback from a 6-1 deficit, finishing 1-for-1 with another double and hitting .800 on the day.

"Mya has done a great job in the circle for us. She has a calm demeanor that helps our defense stay relaxed and ready in games. At the plate, she has been a force, hitting the ball hard and putting pressure on the defense," said Coach Courtney Calkins.
