Female Athlete of the Week – Courtney Hemsley

RedTail Softball's Courtney Hemsley has been named the Scheels Female Athlete of the Week after an impressive offensive and defensive performance over the past seven games.
Courtney has been a consistent force at the plate, hitting .467 (7-for-15) over the past six games, including a 4-for-8 performance in weekend matchups. She also posted a .529 on-base percentage, scoring 4 runs with 1 RBI, a double, and 2 walks.
Beyond her offensive success, Courtney has been a standout in the outfield, recording a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage last week, raising her season fielding percentage to .951.
"Courtney has done a great job in the outfield and at the plate. She gets a great read on the ball and catches plays that seem uncatchable. She also puts the ball in play and finds ways to get on base," said Coach Courtney Calkins.
Her work ethic, leadership, and selfless play have been key to the RedTails' success, and her ability to execute in crucial moments makes her a leader on and off the field.
