Women’s Bowling Battle a Tough Weekend at the 5 Seasons Classic

CEDAR RAPIDS–The women's bowling team had a tough weekend at the 5 Seasons Classic hosted by Mount Mercy University, coming in last place on October 30-31.

The RedTails finished 13 out of 13 teams with a total score of 6331. Hannah Axline was the highest scoring RedTail with a score of 851. Next was Kirsten Mitchell with a score of 785. Braley Bogart scored a total of 627.

"It was a rough go for the ladies in Cedar Rapids," says coach Heath Kohl. "The girls were in top spirits for how the tournament went. They couldn't string anything together all weekend and it was very tough to find a rhythm anyday. The best thing on the weekend was the growth they did as a team and the acceptance to understand what they needed to work on the upcoming week. They kept grinding through the weekend and kept the spirits they could with a 13th place finish."

Next up the RedTails head to Fairview Heights, Illinois for the Mckendree Invite on November 27 and 28.
