Female Athlete of the Week-Lauren Funk

RedTail Bowling student-athlete Lauren Funk has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Team Match Games Tier 1 Tournament in Fairview Heights, IL on November 18th and 19th.

Lauren was our top finisher at the Team Match Games Tier 1 Tournament, hosted by McKendree University. She Finished in 37th place out of 129 players, averaging 170.8 for her five games. Lauren had games of 157, 214, 170, 185, and 128 for her 170.8 average. Between the lane conditions and the field, this weekend provided quite the challenge.

"Lauren is very competitive and it definitely shows when she shows up to compete," said head coach Roger Taylor. "Keeping herself at a high standard for making shots and picking up spares."

Funk is originally from Tripoli.
