RedTails Go Undefeated at Home Invitational
WATERLOO–RedTails played in their first ever home Labor Day tournament and looked sharp, going 2-0 on the weekend.
The RedTails played in two matches September 5 at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex. The first game of the tournament they played Central Community College out of Grand Island, Nebraska. The RedTails had no mercy scoring four goals, making the final score 4-1. Lauren Wagner scored the first goal of the match within the first forty-five seconds and had another goal later into the match. Lexi Wagner scored off of a free kick. Marita Leimback finished off the game, netting a goal.
In the second match, the RedTails played Southeast Community College out of Beatrice, Nebraska. Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the RedTails powered through and came back winning 4-1. The four goals were made by Marita Leimbach, Jacque Kuester (2), and Megan Birchall.
The RedTails hit the road Wednesday morning traveling to the Iowa Western Reivers on September 8 with a kick off time of 1:00pm.
