The score would remain the same though the first period with some superb defense by both teams. With 27:14 left in the game the RedTails would tie the game at 2-2 with a goal from Ellie Gutcher. The game would remain tied through two periods and would go into overtime. After two overtime periods the score would stay the same and the game would end in a tie.

Head Coach Chris Rennie had some positive comments after the hard fought game.

"The work rate, passion and fight these girls put into every game is  second to none and speaks volumes for the culture in the group," he said. "The positive for us today was the amount of chances we are creating. If we were not creating goal scoring opportunities I would be concerned. However we have to work on being more clinical in that final third and that is an area we now need to concentrate on now."

The RedTails next matchup will be at home Saturday, September 24, at 2:00pm vs Marshalltown Community College.
