The RedTails women's soccer team traveled to Marshalltown on Saturday, September 2, beating the Tigers 9-0.
RedTails had a very successful weekend, gaining a major win. The team ended up making nine scores. Freshman Morgan Aikey led in scores, with a total of three. Nelly Dallmann and Lauren Mercer, also freshmen, followed Aikey in scores and both Dallmann and Mercer scored two each. Kamryn Umthum, Avery Fleshner, and Annabell Veryard all had made one score each.
Head coach Chris Rennie had some positive words after a very successful game.
"It was a good week for the women's soccer team, to pick up back to back wins on the road," he said. "It is really pleasing for us to get our first clean sheet of the season today and to see goal scorers from different areas of the field as well."
The RedTails next match up will be at home on Saturday September 9, against the UNI Women's Club Volleyball team, starting at 12:00pm.
