RedTail Women’s Soccer Sweeps Marshalltown Tigers

The RedTails shut out the Tigers on Saturday, September 16, winning 18-0.

The RedTails had a great game, making multiple scores and not letting the Tigers get the ball to the net. Within the first minute of the first period, Avery Fleshner made an unassisted score, starting off the game. Morgan Aikey made the second score and within the next minute and a half, Annabell Veryard made the third score. Grace Heddens made an unassisted score 11 minutes into the game and Avery Fleshner had made another a minute after Heddons. Morgan Aikey made her second score of the game, assisted by Avery Fleshner and then within the next 30 seconds Aikey made another score, assisted by Alena Litzel. Hannah McMahon made the 8th score in the first period, followed by Annabell Veryard. Evie Flint made the 10th score, assisted by Jordyn Van Rensburg. Avery Fleshner ended the first period with two more scores, leaving the score for the first period 12-0. 

Alena Litzel kicked off the second period with the score streak going, making an unassisted point. Morgan Aikey made her fourth score of the game in the 55th minute of the game. Libby Keown scored a point, assisted by Niamh Pearson. Kim Bircher made the 16th score of the game and was shortly followed by Niamh Pearson making a point. To end the game, Evie Flint made the last point, assisted by Morgan Aikey, ending the game with 18-0.
