The RedTails traveled to Fort Dodge on Saturday, September 30, to take on the Tritons.
The RedTails had played a tough game against a strong team. The Tritons had great defense and the RedTails struggled to get the ball into the net. Iowa Central made two points in the first period and neither team made any points in the second. The RedTails ended up taking the loss 0-2.
Head coach Chris Rennie had some positive words after the game.
"The girls have been on a great run lately, going nine games undefeated," he said. "Today was the end of a busy stretch of hard games and unfortunately we weren't able to get this one over the line. We now get a week until we play again, that will be really important for the group to have the chance to recover before we have one more big push this season. As always we were extremely proud of the team, the energy, and the work rate!"
The RedTails next match will be on Saturday, October 7, against Western Iowa Tech, starting at 1:00pm.
