ICCAC Athlete of the Week-Kim Bircher

Kim Bircher will be a familiar face from 2023 as she was the starter in goal all of last season. Bircher also was named ICCAC Athlete of the Week on three occasions in 2023, now it is her first of the 2024 season. Bircher started this season with a clean sheet after a 10-0 demolition of Parkland (Ill.) this past week. Parkland still made Bircher work for the shutout as they registered six shots on target, each of which Bircher was up to the task of saving. It was the perfect start for a hopeful RedTails team. Bircher is an experienced goalkeeper that will look to keep helping her team out by stopping shots. The RedTails will likely be the favorites in their next game against Marshalltown. Bircher and the RedTails will hope to keep their strong start to the season going this Saturday.
