The RedTails tie with 6th ranked team in the nation, Northeat.

The Hawkeye RedTail Women's Soccer team tied with Northeast Community College 0 - 0 in their game on Saturday, September 21.

The RedTails were able to keep up and match Northeast Community College, who is ranked sixth in the nation this Saturday. Northeast had a bit more offensive pressure over the RedTails taking a total of seven shots on goal which led to seven saves by the RedTails goalie, Kim Bircher. Kim, along with the rest of the team, played excellent defense that was able to hold off Northeast and kept the team from suffering a loss.

Here is what head coach, Christopher Rennie, had to say about the game.

"I am so proud of the team's performance today. We knew coming to the number 6 team in the country that we would have to work harder than we have ever worked,be organized, disciplined and focused throughout. The ladies did this and put in a performance that they can be extremely proud of and got a result on the road, every point this season will be so crucial. We now have to get ready for another big test on Wednesday. "

The RedTails will be playing again on Wednesday, September 25, at 3:30pm.
