RedTail Women’s Soccer Comes on Top Against #9 Lakers

Coming off of a loss and a tie, the RedTails Women's soccer team was eager to get a win in their match against #9 Iowa Lakes, on Wednesday, September 25. With grit and determination, they did exactly that, taking home the victory 1-0.

To help lead the RedTails, was Nelly Dallmann who scored the only goal throughout the entire contest, during the first half. Defense was key for the RedTails, as they kept the Lakers scoreless throughout the contest.

"Coming into this game we knew it was a big game against a very good team. I think you could see early on that both teams were a little nervous and neither team wanted to make a mistake but we grew into the game and scored our goal at an important time. The second half we had to be extremely focused and work incredibly hard, but we were able to defend our lead and get an important result against the #9 team in the country. We, as a coaching staff, are extremely proud of what the ladies have put into these last two games but now we must maintain those standards and levels for the remaining run" said head coach Christopher Remmie.

The women will continue play this weekend as they travel to Sioux City to play Western Iowa Tech Community College on Saturday, September 28, at 3:30 p.m
