Lady RedTails Perform Well at NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

LUBBOCK, TX - The Hawkeye Community College RedTails concluded the 2018 Indoor Track & Field season at the NJCAA Indoor Championships held inside the Sports Performance Center at Texas Tech University.
Joanna Topham and Megan Hudson continued to shine on the track for the RedTails as they competed against the best runners at the junior college level.
Hudson finished her 60 Meter Hurdle race in a time of 9.2 seconds, and would take home an 11th place finish. Hudson also teamed up with Topham, Mikki Mundus, and Atlanta Groeneveld to take part in the Women Distance Medley. The RedTail team finished in a time of 13:57.26 and collected a 12th place finish in the event.
Topham would also take part in the 1000 Meter Run where she would finish 13th after crossing the line in a time of 3:10.38.
In the field events it was Haile Cook throwing 12.21 Meters in the Shot Put for the RedTails, earning her a 16th place finish at the meet.
Jumping a mark of 10.21 Meters for the RedTails was Zarreeel Knox. The South Holland, Illinois native's best jump earned her an 18th place finish in the event.

The RedTails will kick off the Outdoor Track & Field season on March 24th at the Augustana Spring Opener Track Meet hosted by St. Augustana College in Rock Island, IL.
