Mount Mercy Mustang Open Women's Results

WATERLOO–The RedTail Women's Track and Field team competed at the Mount Mercy Mustang Open on April 1 in Cedar Rapids, IA.
The 100 Meters was led by Mattie Janssen who placed sixth with a time of 13.34. She was followed by Lexi Miller in tenth (13.71), Kallie Mincks in 12th (13.78), Maddie Vawter in 13th (13.87), and Gracie Rathe in 15th (14.16).
The 200 Meters finished with Vawter and Hailey Eitzenhefer in 13th and 14th with a time of 29.68. Rathe followed close behind in 17th with a time of 30.34 with Rachel Rusche placing 23rd with a time of 33.23.
Jules Breakenridge represented the RedTails in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:35.22 and finished in seventh place.
Maddie Tieskotter was another solo RedTail in the 1500, placing 17th with a time of 5:58.04.
Kallie Mincks competed in the 100 Hurdles, placing eighth with a time of 17.26, followed by Carlie Hoppe placing 11th with a time of 18.15.
The 4x100 Relay finished with the RedTails placing second with a time of 51.82 (Janssen, Jordan Galentine, Eitzenhefer, Vawter).
Victoria McCraney represented the RedTails in the Pole Vault, placing third with a mark of 1.95m.
The Shot Put was led by Abby Bartz, who placed sixth with a distance of 11.83m. Delaney Kopriva placed 19th with a distance of 9.19m.
The Discus finished with Elyse Trunck placing ninth with a distance of 32.52, followed by Isabella Hesse in 14th (28.50).
The Hammer finished with Bartz placing ninth with a distance of 36.56, followed by Trunck in 22nd (27.77), and Kopriva in 23rd (26.27).
The Javelin finished with Hoppe placing tenth with a distance of 26.14, followed by Hesse in 12th (23.63).
"We are a little banged up coming off of the indoor season but still competed well," said head coach Scott Roberts. "Kallie Mincks made the finals in the 100m hurdles and our 4x100m took second place and competed well. Tori McCraney took 3rd place in the pole vault and Indoor All-American Abby Bartz took 6th in the shot put in her first outdoor action of the season."
