RedTails Cruise By Bears in Home Opener
WATERLOO–The RedTail Volleyball team rallied to win 3-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-17, 25-22 ) in a big home match against the Des Moines Area Community College Bears on August 29.
The RedTails started off strong with a victory in the first set. They put the pedal to the metal and made the Bears use both timeouts as they quickly were pulling away. Set two the RedTails fell, but quickly retaliated in set three and came out stronger. Set four the RedTails finished a strong team effort and got the win.
"We served aggressively and kept them out of system," said coach Tyann Wolfensperger. "Ultimately, I believe that is what led us to victory."
The RedTails are averaging 2.06 service aces per set.
The RedTails will look to get their third straight win as they face off with Southwestern Community College on Wednesday, September 1.
