The RedTails Sweep the Week

WATERLOO–The RedTail volleyball team swept all three games they played starting with Iowa Lakes Community College on October 6 and Southwestern Community College and Southeast Community College on October 9. 

The RedTails swept the Iowa Lakes Laker 3-0 on October 6. The first set was close but the RedTails got the win 25-22. The RedTails continued to play strong in the second set and won 25-17. The third set went to the RedTails winning 26-17. Sophomore Bailey Hoff had an impressive game with 14 digs. 

The RedTails played a triangular on October 9 against Southwestern Community College and Southeast Community College and won both games 3-0. The RedTails played the Southwestern first and won the first set 25-12, the second set 25-7, and the third 25-12. Then RedTails then went on to play Southeast and won the first set 25-15, 25-13, and 25-18. 

"The RedTails showed up ready to compete and completely dominated from beginning of the matches to the end," says coach Molly Shamansky. 

The RedTails will travel to Boone to take on the DMACC Bears on October 13.
