RedTails are on a Winning Streak
WATERLOO–The Women's Volleyball team is on a five-game winning streak after their victories against Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) on October 13 and Black Hawk College-Moline on October 16.
The RedTails swept the DMACC Bears 3-0. The Bears put up a fight in the first set, but the RedTails prevailed 26-24. The RedTails kept fighting and won the second set 25-19 and the third set 25-20. Amber Rickert had an impressive game with 21 kills and 10 digs.
The RedTails returned home to take on the Black Hawk College Braves, winning 3-0. The first set went to the RedTails after winning 25-22. The RedTails continued to play strong and won the second set 25-16. The RedTails gave a dominant performance in the third set, winning 25-14.
"It was a fantastic week and I think that was especially reflected in not dropping a single set," says coach Molly Shamansky. "We're working hard everyday towards the end of the season to make sure we finish strong."
The RedTails will take on Marshalltown Community College on October 18.
