WATERLOO–The women's volleyball team played in the Region XI-B tournament and were the runner-ups after winning against Iowa Lakes Community College on October 30 and losing to Kirkwood Community College on October 31.

The RedTails swept the Lakers taking the first set 25-13. The second set was just as dominant as the RedTails beat the Lakers 25-15. The RedTails finished the match with another great set, winning 25-13.

The RedTails returned the next day to take on the Kirkwood Eagles for the Region XI-B Championship. The RedTails put up a tough fight but ultimately fell in the first (19-25) and second set (22-25) and third set (19-25).

"Kirkwood was simply the better team that day," says coach Molly Shamansky. "However, we are still incredibly proud of our girls and all that they accomplished this year. We have so much to be proud of!"

The RedTails finish the season with a 23-10 record.
