RedTail's Volleyball team loses to Southeastern 1-3

The Hawkeye RedTails Volleyball team lost to Southeastern Community College on Thursday, September 26, with a final score of 1-3.

The RedTails had a strong start at the beginning of the match. The RedTails took the first set with a close score of 25-23. However, in the second set Southeastern was able to gain a lead and beat the RedTails. (21-25) They did it again in the third (18-25) and the fourth (19-25) closing out the match.

Here is what Coach Christi Mahi had to say about the match:"We started out strong  taking the first set, 25-23 and hit .277 as a team, but then we struggled with consistency in sets 2-4. We had a lot of unforced errors and that limited our ability to be successful. We had been playing so well in our last 7-8 matches, so it was a little frustrating to take a couple steps backward tonight. However, we did have a good post-game meeting and everyone agreed to work hard to get better before we play again at home on October 2."

The RedTails will play against Kirkwood Community College on Wednesday October 2.
