Hawkeye Women’s Wrestling Travels to Grand View Open

The RedTail women's wrestling team faced a new challenge and traveled to Des Moines to compete in the Grand View Invite. Hawkeye had 10 girls take the mat, six of them recording team points. Results posted below:

            110 lbs: Ella Hron's place is unknown and has scored 3.0 team points.

            117 lbs: Mia Kurth's place is unknown and has scored 3.5 team points.

            124 lbs: Chloe Sokolik's place is unknown and has scored 4.0 team points.

            138 lbs: Cieanna Ficken's place is unknown and has scored 0.0 team points.

            145 lbs: Lexi Beckler's place is unknown and has scored 0.0 team points  |  Melody Kremer's place is unknown and has scored 7.5 team points.

            160 lbs: Meya Roberts's place is unknown and has scored 0.0 team points.  |  Rory Siems's place is unknown and has scored 5.5 team points.

            207 lbs: Alyson Krum's place is 2nd and has scored 19.0 team points.

            235 lbs: Makenna Fetters's place is 5th and has scored 8.0 team points.

In the end the RedTails accumulated 50.5 team points and recorded 10 pins on the day.

Coach Lovell talked about his women's team after the tourney. "The girls had a pretty good showing at Grand View Open; we had almost all the girls win a match and placed two: Alyson Krum 2nd and Makenna Fetters 5th."
