Women’s Cross Country Runner Emma Hoins Places 3rd at the NJCAA Championship

RICHMOND, VA–The women's cross country ran a 5K in the NJCAA Championship on November 13 and placed one runner in the top three for Division II.
Emma Hoins was the first RedTail to cross the line and placed third overall for Division II with a time of 18:43.9. Hoins broke the school record and earned All American Status. Chloe Matthews was the next to cross the line for the RedTails with a time of 21:25.7. Next with a time of 22:08.5 was Aubery Eick. Aviella Holtz was the next RedTail to finish with a time of 22:47.9. Jordan Gallentine finished with a time of 23:22.5.
Coach Tyler Mulder was also named the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Midwest Region Coach for Women's Cross Country at the meet.
"The ladies had some of the best kicks for their last 200m of all racers and I was happy with how they finished out the season!" says coach Tyler Mulder. "The Midwest region nominated me as the region coach of the year but I feel that award is a reflection of the girls team's hard work and having our 400m runner come to help the teams out to have a team score. Proud and thankful for their dedication!"
